Cruelty Free Purple/Silver Shampoos

I have become a hoarder of purple shampoos in the last few months! I'm always wanting to try out new hair care products to see what works best for my hair. Swatches of each shampoo will be at the bottom.

Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde Shampoo

Paul Mitchell is one of my favourite hair care brands and this has to be my favourite toning shampoo! This would be great for someone with platinum/white hair.

Pros:
*
Blue toned shampoo
* Gentle on the hair - doesn't dry it out
* Keeps hair bright and vibrant
* Doesn't leave purple streaks
* Can use two times a week without build up or staining
* Lathers well
* Lovely smell
* Vegan
* Paraben free
* No animal testing

Cons:
* Doesn't tone stubborn yellowness - would need a toner (not toning shampoo)

Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo

This is the most pigmented toning shampoo I have ever used! It's great for achieving silver/grey hair.

Pros:

* Blue toned shampoo
* Lathers well
* Lovely smell
* Removes brassiness
* No animal testing

Cons:
* Stains hands
* Tones but will sometimes leave a purple hue if left on too long
* Dries hair out if used too often

Giovanni Perfectly Platinum Colourflage Shampoo

This shampoo would be great for anyone wanting to maintain their blonde hair without too much toning.

Pros:
* Light purple shampoo
* Won't stain hair
* UV Protection
* Lathers well
* Lovely smell
* Paraben free
* Vegan
* No animal testing

Cons:
* Not as pigmented or strong as other toning shampoos
* Dries out my hair if I use it too often

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Shampoo

This is a great toning shampoo. It leaves more of a pink hue to the hair rather than purple or blue. This would be best suited for platinum/white hair. Lee Stafford have a whole range of amazing products!

Pros:
*
Purple/pink toned shampoo
* Tones hair well
* Leaves hair vibrant
* UV protection
* Lathers well
* Lovely smell
* Gentle on hair
* Vegan
* No animal testing

Cons:
* Leaves a slight purple/pink hue to hair if left on for too long

Touch of Silver

This was my first ever purple shampoo and I still love it! This would be great for platinum/white hair or for someone wanting to achieve a lilac hue.

Pros:
* Purple toned shampoo
* Lathers well
* Keeps hair bright and vibrant
* Lathers well
* Removes yellow tones
* No animal testing

Cons:
* Will stain hair if left on for too long
* Can dry out hair if used more than twice a week

    1. The fudge one is probably the most pigmented! It can stain your hair very easily though (and your hands) lol

  6. I just tried Paul Mitchell' s Platinum Blonde shampoo! It dried my hair terribly! Now it looks coarse and dull...Will never use it again!

  7. I don't know, that is what I have been using for quite some time, though I only use it perhaps four times per month. But I don't notice any drying effect. Maybe because I don't use it that often.

  8. The one issue you did not mention is whether the company sells its products in China where products have to be tested on animals
