Environmentally friendly and biodegradable toothbrush

I've never really thought using my toothbrush could have such an impact to the environment, until I came across this one and looked more into it. Regular plastic toothbrushes will not break down in our lifetime nor within the lifetime of our children. Shocking!

So first of, there are many reasons why this toothbrush is better than the one you're currently using:
- The toothbrush and the packaging are biodegradable
- It's vegan friendly
- It's environmentally sustainable
- It's fair trade

The toothbrush comes within a paper sleeve inside a cardboard box, and once disposed of will not pollute the environment!

The brush itself is made from MOSO bamboo. This is a sustainable source as bamboo is technically part of the grass family and is one of the fastest growing plants on earth. The bamboo is heat treated to carbonise the surface. This gives it a quality finish, good service life and also provides water resistance and prevents the growth of bacteria.

The bristles are made from a BPA free polymer that is resistant to microbial growth. This is great for people who want a BPA free alternative to their current toothbrush.

I do like this toothbrush and will continue to purchase in the future just because of the environmental factors. It is abit strange to use at the start as you go from the smoothness of a plastic toothbrush to the little roughness of the bamboo. At the start it did remind me of a lollipop stick and that horrible feeling of the wood touching your teeth and tongue..but I soon got over that.

I purchased mine from my local health shop. You could either get yours from your local health shop or a health shop online! I really recommend this toothbrush and it's great supporting a smaller business rather than a big one like Colgate or Oral-B!
